The South Western City Schools Educational Foundation (SWCSEF) is currently accepting applications from individuals interested in serving a three-year term as a volunteer trustee.
Founded in 1986, the Foundation partners with community and corporate supporters to encourage student achievement, advancement and innovative school programs across the district. Since its inception, SWCSEF has awarded more than $1.5 million in scholarships to graduating seniors and provided more than $400,000 in grants to support creative and impactful classroom initiatives.
The Foundation is governed by a working, all-volunteer Board of Trustees. Board members attend monthly meetings and actively serve on committees supporting development and marketing, scholarships and grants, nominating and governance, or finance. Trustees also assist with key annual fundraising events, including the Honors Concert, Annual Fundraiser and Drive Forward Golf Outing.
Community members who are passionate about supporting students and strengthening educational opportunities in South Western City Schools are encouraged to apply. All applications will be reviewed by the Foundation’s Nominating and Governance Committee.
